New VHF Regulations

Based on these new regulations, the first radio survey which will take place after the 01. January 2024, all VHFs must comply with the appendix 18 of the Radio Regulations, which require 4-digit channels to be available on the fixed VHFs onboard.

Technical bulletins from makers are on the way, but already now we can inform you as follows:

JRC:
• JHS-32A/B and older VHFs will not be supported.
• JHS-770S/780D will be supported, subject to software version.
• JHS-800S is already complying with new regulations.

Cobham Sailor:
• Sailor 7222 already complies with the new regulations.
• Sailor 6222: complies if the SW version 2.15 or higher installed.
