Maersk Congo

Maersk Congo is one in the series of the 22 highly sophisticated; energy saving WAFMAX vessels A. P. Moller Maersk in 2008 ordered for its Africa-Far East Container Service at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in South Korea.

Congo

NAVTEAM secured, in close corporation with Japan Radio Co. Ltd., and Yokogawa, the order for a full Navigation and Communication package for this massive series of vessels, which is believed to be the longest series of identical Container vessels ever build. The vessels delivery started in April 2011 and last vessel in the series will commence service in early 2013.

The vessels are trading between the West African ports of Tema, Abidjan and Apapa, and the Far East ports of Tanjung Pelepas, Singapore, Ningbo and Busan. The vessels are the largest vessels to enter the West African ports, and are the most fuel efficient vessels on the Asia-Africa trade.
